While not every organization needs to have a presence on TikTok, it is one of the most creative, dynamic, interesting corners of the internet. I am endlessly inspired by the possibilities for storytelling, advocacy, and community building, and have brought that passion and excitement both running an in-house TikTok strategy and as a speaker and collaborator helping others bring their vision to life.

 
 

Open Society Foundations

In 2022, Open Society became one of the first philanthropies to join TikTok. It quickly became a powerful tool to amplify the stories of our partners, fellows, and staff. As the strategy and production lead, I ran the entire process from pitch to posting. I conducted interviews, wrote and reviewed scripts, filmed and edited videos, and drove a community engagement strategy. I helped build a strategy that led to a 12.6% engagement rate in the first year. You can click through some of the videos I worked on below.
